Bea, you were absolutely stunning this Chicago wedding weekend. Your ceremony and daughter’s speech practically brought me to tears, and I don’t just say that. You and Steven were both glowing, in your Jim Hjelm gown and his delightfully well cut suit. Some much deserved love and relaxation for you two and your new family this week. 🙂
A huge congrats to you both.
Bea and Steven are getting married tomorrow!! So, what a perfect time to share their Chicago engagement photography session!
Knock on wood- we have thankfully bypassed the crazy snow/hail storm today to make room for a bright sunny day for their wedding at Artango tomorrow. Being a lover of Jeans over Lace- Bea was super excited to get Chicago engagement photography done as a great way to practice before their big day. Steven and Bea met when Bea started teaching at Steven’s school. She was placed under Steven’s wing to co-teach with, and it all started from there. That first date? Well, it didn’t start as a date, just as friends going out for a drink at a Sports bar- but throughout those hours, those looks across across the table, you just know something special is taking place- and from Bea voicing her feelings, it all started from there.
Can’t wait for tomorrow! 🙂
Being a Michigan native, when Tammy inquired with us that she was having her wedding on Lake Michigan and getting ready at her parent’s blueberry farm, I immediately gushed for joy.
Tammy and Chris live in Chicago, so we opted for the city (Chris’ motorcycle and all) for the engagement session, and basked in the beautiful nature surrounding us for their wedding photography in Michigan. Seriously. It was a gorgeously sunny day for Michigan wedding photography. From jars of blueberry jam to colorful lake-shore sunsets and beach-side fire pits, it couldn’t have been anymore perfect of a wedding day for Tammy and Chris.
Ah, I love me an organza BHLDN wedding dress. And it fit her like a glove. Tammy’s mom is so incredibly sweet. Seriously, if you’re ever in Bangor, MI- stop by and pick up some blueberries. The upcycled barnwood signs were another big hit. A big thanks to Sweet Cherry Resort for letting us run around their stomping grounds for photos.Bonfire afterparty- accompanied by smores, beer and lots of blankets.
Honestly, I let out a bit of a squeal of excitement when I saw Eileen and Grant‘s delightful calligraphy wedding invitations. I could examine every curve and letter of the beautifully done calligraphy along with their vintage stamps. Even an Iowa stamp! (Which is where they’re getting married.) 🙂
Perfectly paired with a Peach Ranunculus bloom.
