Ryan and Mari’ s Long Beach Engagement Photography Session!

Written by , Posted in California, Engagement

The first thing I learned about Ryan and Mari is that their wedding branding was the Gingerbeans- and instantly I was intrigued.  Ryan and Mari are both designers- and when they emailed me their engagement location idea list, I instantly thought they were AWESOME.  Black, with bold colors- just like their wedding invites (which are amazing as well by the way!) After chatting on the phone, we set up an Long Beach engagement photography shoot for the week that we were also going to be headed to Vegas for WPPI- making a tour of it. And speaking of tour- Long Beach was a festive and fun day of touring as well! From Coffee Shops to Wine Shops to Pike Bar– we also stopped by the beach, and the most amazing antique mall.  Long Beach Antique Mall II – I’m not sure where the first one is, but II is epic!

Ryan and Mari are getting married at the Museum of Latin American Art on Saturday!  Can’t wait!!

Milwaukee Villa Terrace Wedding – Lauren and Adam

Written by , Posted in Wedding

For Lauren and Adam it all fell perfectly into place.  The first time they met, their adventures and travels together, and their wedding date. Lauren and Adam had a Milwaukee Villa Terrace Wedding with the most amazing views. Their reception was just down the street at the Charles Allis Art Museum. Which!  meant for the perfect opportunity for a horse drawn carriage as transport.

Lauren and Adam lived long term long distance for 4 years!  1,000 miles apart after initially meeting on a cruise.  So the day Lauren moved to Wisconsin couldn’t come soon enough. 🙂 And the day was filled with amazing art, paper flowers, striped straws, and flavored root beer.  Wonderful!

Check out the amazing view!

Chicago Engagement Photography Session – Laura and Mark

Written by , Posted in Engagement

Mark, or who we like to call “The Boulevard Man” picked a morning at Humboldt Park to be the spot for their Chicago engagement photography session- he’s a bit of a city planner, so he knows Chicago inside and out. The boathouse at Humboldt Park is always a site to see, yet so rarely we are able to stop and enjoy the trio of arches and vaulted ceilings- and what better day then a morning with these two! As you can see in the shot above- Laura can bring the sass with her big blue eyes, even at 6:30 in the morning. 😉

Chicago Wedding Photography- Bianca and Jonathan’s Wedding

Written by , Posted in Wedding

Bianca and Jonathan’s Chicago Wedding Photography was featured in the TCW magazine gave me an itch to post their amazing and fun wedding.  Bianca filled the day with loads of surprises for Jonathan- from the vintage Rolex Watch, to the Brazilian Samba dancers at the Reception. They were a joy to be around and a joy to photography! What a fun bunch!

Bianca and her bridesmaids got ready at the same hotel as Jonathan, and they chose to do a first look- which allowed them for plenty of time to tour multiple spots in the city of Chicago for bunches of fantastic photo opportunities.  Bianca’s brother found a purple mural of the city scape on the way into town, Michigan ave, North Avenue Beach and all around the art institute we went before zipping back to the ceremony- and onto the Samba dancing surprise!  Amazing reception guys!!! Congrats!

Jen and Andy’s Lovely DIY Upcycled Vintage Chicago Wedding Photography

Written by , Posted in Vintage, Wedding

I am quite pleased to share Jen and Andy’s amazingly lovely Chicago wedding photography details on their big day.  Everything from Jen’s ring to the place cards was either created herself, or a fantastic Etsy find. Or! From Andy’s childhood. The wedding itself was at Andy’s parents’ backyard, along with a stop at their family farm.

Jen’s cards and design skills?  Why you can see them on her site here. And the lovely little flag cake topper? Why, adorning the most delicious vegan cake of course!

After the wedding, Jen and Andy set out on an antiquing road trip across the south- with some excellent photos and finds along the way.

Rocky the Best man?  Why of course!
