Clara and Jason’s Chicago Engagement Photography Session

Written by , Posted in Engagement

Chicago Lake Front Engagement Session Studio Finch

We had the opportunity to photography Clara and Jason’s Chicago engagement photography session just a week before their wedding, as they both moved to Seattle together (but separate as Clara’s bridesmaid put it) a bit after the graduated from NIU. Clara and Jason met in college at a Christian retreat soon after they started school. So with years of finals and college cafeteria food, their love blossomed. 🙂
On a side note, Clara’s dress? Anthropologie. And awesome.

Melissa and Matt’s Wedding at Four Rivers Environmental Center

Melissa and Matt had their wedding at Four Rivers Environmental Center.  It was filled with gray and bright yellow DIY details, which Matt’s amazing cousin, Joanna, helped create for their big day.

Melissa’s wedding was held on an absolutely gorgeous summer day in Channahon (about an hour SW of Chicago) the sun shined in all its glory for such a special day. They were surrounded by nature, which is one of the main reasons why they chose the venue.  Four Rivers Center is a peninsula literally intertwined within 4 winding rivers.  Gotta love weddings in the midst of bright summer sunshine!

Ann and Brendan + Salvage One Wedding + February = A C-oldie but a goodie

Written by , Posted in Salvage One, Wedding

The 100 degree weather yesterday made me think of the brisk day of Ann and Brendan’s Salvage One Wedding in February.  Ann really loved the idea of lakefront shots, to get Chicago’s amazing skyline in full effect- which turned out amazing after their ceremony.
Ann and Brendan actually live in Los Angeles, but Chicago was the perfect location centered around all of their travels and places across America where they both lived.   Which! Was the theme of their table settings, along with bullet bourbon framed by pine.  An amazing and fun day filled with detail indeed!

Aaand- that’s the moment the breeze hit her.  And Ann took it all in with a smile. 🙂

Loved the school bus!

Seriously- these two are beautiful troopers, who would have known the chill on the lake front would have been 9 degrees.

The huddle and stay warm pose was quite a popular one that day.

Ann and Brendan, your wedding day was such a blast, I love that Ann had a huge smile on her face just about the whole day.  Best of luck on all of your adventures in California together!
