Tracey and Chris are awesome. We got to essentially just roam around Pilsen with them for the Chicago engagement photography session, joking about cheese and other bits of silly-ness for the first half of their session.
I can’t wait for their wedding! Their city affair is going to be held at the beautifully historic Hard Rock Hotel in downtown Chicago later this fall. Fitting? Yes. Tracey and Chris got engaged in Las Vegas as he swept her off of her feet and they stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas.
Now, on to the engagement session. Might I add- Tracey, your hair is AMAZING. That is all. <3
Alicia and Lukasz’s Elmhurst Wilder Mansion wedding day couldn’t have been more beautiful! Everyone knows I’m a huge fan out rustic outdoor ceremonies, and they couldn’t have picked a better location. They had their outdoor ceremony at the Churchill Woods complete with vintage wooden doors for Alicia’s grand entrance.
Alicia and Lukasz have had a relationship since middle school. These two have known each other since they were little kids. Their bond is amazing and sincere, and everyone who has ever met Alicia and Lukasz would tell you that their souls are bonded deep. Gah, I just about cried at the ceremony myself. We felt so honored to photograph these two on their stunning day.
A touch of blush whimsey on Alicia’s Maggie Sottero dress is to die for. Putting the finishing touches on his vows.
The color pairings Alicia envisioned are amazing! Some of you who have met me have heard me go on and on about my new fondness over the color purple- It photographs so well with the florals from Ipomea Floral. Sheila, the owner and florist extraordinaire does an amazing job.
A huge thank you to all of these amazing vendors and fashion touches.
Amanda and Tom are the most amazing smiley people that we’ve ever shot. Seriously, every picture looks like absolute joy at their Promontory Point wedding. I mean, you remember their engagement session at Indiana Dunes State Park with the dune jumping? Indeed.
Amanda and Tom got ready in West Town, to make sure to have the chance to have a few shots where they originally met- at The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, before the wedding. With their ceremony and reception at the lovely Promontory Point on Chicago’s South Side, they simply moved the ceremony indoors and opened up the hall’s French doors, while enjoying cocktail hour outside.
It was the most perfect weather for a lakeside wedding! The sky was so clear, you could see the cityscape along the shore, which allowed for the perfect bike-ride on their new tandem bike. The perfect dress for the perfect bike!
Mary Beth and Sam’s Chicago Maxim’s Lincoln Park wedding was an absolute blast. We love outdoor park weddings in Chicago. I mean, look at the amazing greenery?! And with Mary Beth’s vintage wedding dress paired with flowers from Asrai Garden, it’s a guaranteed day of non-stop lovely. And Sam’s suit was quite amazing as well. This wedding had some of my most favorite dance shots of all time. Maxim’s made it quite easy though, it’s such an intimate reception space, and was perfect for their theme. Congrats with everything in Colorado you two!Champaigne Grapes in the bouquet? Yes!
Elle and Tommy were an absolute blast at their Detroit Belle Isle Casino Wedding, they got everyone up and dancing at the reception- with the help of the Larry Lee & the Back in the Day Band of course. 😉
Tommy, as a writer/actor extraordinaire, also provided with some of the most dashing groom smiles we’ve seen to date. Oh, speaking of Extraordinaire- did we mention that Elle is in a Marching Band? They came along on the trolly after the ceremony.
Elle and Tommy had their ceremony at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Tommy’s parents’ church, and is a beautiful open and light space. For the rest of the dancing festivities at Belle Isle, read on! <3
Elle, you are absolutely gorgeous! My most favorite wedding hug ever- Tommy’s dashing smile?? He gets that from his mom.Floating? because they’re on cloud nine (sorry, couldn’t help it) 🙂 Detroit’s Belle Isle Casino is an amazing space filled with history. The ceilings make you look up in awe, I’m so incredibly glad that the space is open for weddings.Round DIY wedding paper fans? Elles hard work. That’s right- Larry Lee signs his own guitar. 🙂
As a wedding gift, Tommy’s Dad’s friend- the owner of the original Detroit Coney Dogs gifted them with a delicious midnight snack for the guests.
