We are huge fans of collaboration. So when Mackenzie and Jeff said that they wanted to Focus on Downtown Chicago for their engagement session, we were more than excited. Especially excited for Mackenzie’s shoes. She sported a pair of epic Betsey Johnson Pumps. Pumps and jeans? Yes please!
We started off the session on Randolph Street, surrounded by restaurants and the hustle and bustle of people. Au Cheval had special meaning to Mackenzie and Jeff, and naturally we had to start off on these soon to be vintage Newspaper Boxes outside of the restaurant.
Gotta love a Downtown Chicago Engagement session.
A nice throwback in case any of you forgot how crazy this winter was. And Voni & Clivens are amazing in their Chicago winter engagement photography session – for bearing that crazy cold during their engagement session. And thank you guys so much for doing it! You are rockstars.
There is a certain crisp wonderfulness in the feel and colors of winter. When the sky is big and blue, it gives all of the earthy tones a warm vibe- and we can use all of the warm we could get! Enough of all of this, now for checking these two rock out a crisp and ‘breezy’ winter engagement.
And the fact that these two were willing to take a couple of photos without their coats on? Awesome. One of my favorite winter engagement sessions ever.
A couple of weddings back, I had a bridesmaid ask where our most off-the-beaten-path destination wedding was. At that moment it dawned on me, we haven’t blogged about Nicole and Joel’s amazing Nicaraguan Wedding yet! So this week is set to be dedicated to Nicole and Joel, along with a bit from our adventures in Central America.
And now, for bits of the photography we did around Central America, I introduce a bit of the love that is Nicole and Joel.
Growing up, I was surrounded by nostalgia. Tin and wooden toys are a few of my favorite things- so when we went to Cozy Noodle for Owen and Matt’s Chicago engagement photography session, we had a plethora of amazingness. Added in with that, the interior of the space paired with the autumn backdrop colors quite well. Fall in Illinois is downright breathtaking. So when Owen and Matt said they had a blanket- well, we had a field. 🙂
They are getting married at Architectural Artifacts later this summer, so speaking of being surrounded by nostalgia- it couldn’t be at a better wedding venue. Can’t wait!
