Our Wedding- Post 1 Blue Dress Barn

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of so many absolutely amazing brides and grooms we have this year, we also have our wedding to look forward to.  Indeed, Jason and I are getting married this fall at the Blue Dress Barn in Millburg, MI.

When we spotted the amazing venue, with it’s whimsical vines and silos and lush greenery everywhere, we knew this was the spot, just like many of you lovely folks feel when you find your locations and details. With that, here is a sneak peak to our venue:

Orange Blossom and Mint Suntea

Now, I know I’m not the first one to talk about this crazy hot weather, but it’s now obvious that summer is in full swing. Which! Makes for the perfect excuse for suntea- in a suntea canister of course.
The past week has been filled with travels to New York, where we had the opportunity to meet two of our wonderful couples in person- and do a few engagement sessions in Brooklyn! I am so excited for their weddings this summer- Pooja and Ben’s at the  iconic Navy Pier, and Carrie and Ted’s at The rustic Woodwalk Art Gallery in Egg Harbor. Photos to come!

A hello from Charlie

A quick hello from Charlie on a Sunny Chicago Day… and trust me, he’s only smiling because he’s up to no good.

Happy Birthday Charlie

A big happy 1st birthday to Charlie! Indeed- we may have adopted this little guy 2 months ago, but he’s quickly grown to be a best friend. He’s the first thing I see when I wake up, and the last thing to see before I go to bed (besides Jason of course). The world is a better place when you have a wagging little tail to greet you at the door when you come home. Happy Birthday Charlie!

Not to mention, a few of the wonderful four legged best friends we have met along the way in the past year:

And! Charlie- the first day we brought him home from Wright Way Rescue

Happy Birthday Dad!

Though he has no Irish background, my dad embraced the color Green graciously.  Besides, it’s a nice was to think that everyone dresses up in the color green for your birthday.

The shot below, scanned by scanners from the 90’s (retro quality indeed) was a photo snapped of my parents soon after they were engaged.  Happy 60th birthday dad.  Thanks for always being adventurous, inspiring, awesome and determined.

Cheers!
