Sarah and Kyle has the most amazing wedding at the Galleria Marchetti wedding courtyard. Everything and everyone was literally glowing with warmth, it was absolutely magical! We couldn’t have asked for more amazing light. Sarah and Kyle planned out the Galleria Marchetti wedding ceremony time during golden hour, which I send a big thank you shout out to them for the perfect timing.
And Sarah’s dress? BHLDN! On a side note, thank you bhldn for always giving brides beautiful hangers for wedding dress photos, we really appreciate that.
One of my favorite things about Sarah is that she is smiling in every photo, seriously- even if it was cloudy on their fall Chicago wedding day, she would have been glowing. For their ceremony, they had each person who walked down the aisle put a stone into a glass jar, as a blessing to the couple, it was a really sweet wedding idea. And with their Galleria Marchetti wedding set in the outdoor garden area, we all really lucked out on the fact that there was no rain- but! even if there was, the Galleria Marchetti wedding space indoors also looks amazing with their side window light and white tented ceilings. So it’s kind of a win-win on any day, especially when you don’t know how chicago wedding weather will act.
A huge thank you to all of the chicago wedding vendors we had the opportunity to work with!

Eeek! I’m so excited to show you guys Erica and John’s Cafe Brauer wedding!
It was our first wedding of the 2016 season. We couldn’t have started our Chicago wedding photography year with a nicer couple for their Cafe Brauer wedding. Erica and John were/are awesome! We ventured were outside in March for their photos and they were such troopers to brave the chilly weather right on Lake Michigan. I’m glad that the bridesmaids had long dresses on – thanks Jenny Yoo! We were all filled with warm thoughts, good vibes, and love, which helped keep us all warm.
Erica and John had their wedding festivities at the historic Cafe Brauer in Lincoln Park. It is an amazingly beautiful space made by Perkins & Hamilton in a Prairie Style architecture. It is one of our favorite spots in the Chicago to photography.
Erica’s bouquet, the bridesmaid’s dresses, and all of the other details mimicked the lavender and prairie green in Cafe Brauer Wedding’s space. We started the day off at Hotel Lincoln– which is conveniently close, FILLED with Mid Century Modern furniture and amazing antiques, which are all locally sourced. Anything mid-century modern and vintage warms my heart. We also took a trip to the roof to Hotel Lincoln’s – The J. Parker.
Checkout the photos from their big day below.

Ellen was the ultimate DIY bride. Imagine- a Thatcher Woods Pavilion Wedding in the woods with food trucks, nature, and non stop dancing. This was the most amazing party! Food trucks, yes you heard it- the most delicious and fun eating activity that you can do at a wedding. 😀 Since Ellen and David had a Thatcher Woods Pavilion wedding, there was plenty of room for those food trucks, it being in nature and all.
Ellen got ready at the most adorable Victorian AirBnb home that her parents rented out. The house was filled with art, and looked like a home I would dream to live in some day- filled with little knick knacks from the family’s travels.
David got ready at the Carlton Hotel, and both spots were conviniently close to their Thatcher Woods Pavilion wedding, essentially down the street from both of their Oak Park locations. So with that! We decided to do a first look near the Carlton Hotel over by Mills Park and the Pleasant Home.
David’s neice was the most adorable yound lady that you ever did see. I had to snag a shot of her showing off her pink gown during family photos.
And the Food trucks!
A huge thank you to the other vendors involved! The weather, details, all of Ellen’s DIY wedding elements were perfect. And David did an amazing job making sure that everything was set up the morning of their Thatcher Woods Pavilion Wedding.

So with that- Meghan and Ben’s wedding album arrived over the weekend!
Okay, so It’s true- I’m pretty bad at the whole blog thing. So I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to post the most favorite photo I’ve ever taken. The one on the right-hand side of their album spread.
It’s simple, windswept, one of the last photos we took from their amazing Cancun wedding weekend- filled with flash mobs, memorial catamaran sailing trips, beautiful light, and a wonderful group of people. With that, and all of the other destination weddings we’ve done lately, I guess you could call us chicago destination wedding photographer . 🙂 But for real, I promise to blog the other 50+ weddings we haven’t blogged, because they are all awesome. Eeek!
