Chicago Wedding Photography – Independence Grove Forest Preserve
Out of all of our Chicago wedding photography this year, Heidi and Eric’s was one of our favorites. Heidi planned all of the details out to a perfect T. It was amazing! From the peonies to match the ones that grew on the side of her parent’s house growing up, to the antique reprints of herbs and spices for the table number center pieces to the vintage blue mason jars perfectly matching her shoes, the twine on the wedding invitations and also the bridesmaids dresses.
Heidi and Eric had their wedding at Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville. It was a beautiful spring day in Chicago land and the weather was perfect for the ceremony at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church in Indian Creek- Heidi made the ceremony exit extra special by making ribbon wands to send to couple off to the reception in their white vintage Rolls Royce. Oh, and you have to see their Danish Marzipan Ring Cake! Complete with little danish flags. A huge thanks goes out to Carolynn at Shannon Gail Events, all of the amazing details would not have been possible without your collective creativity and organization. 🙂 Along with their amazing videographer JJ at Orange Wedding Films. He’s awesome and fantastic to work with.
The day started off at the Westin North Shore…
Loved the random clapping. Excellent team spirit.
In case you ever wondered what a Danish Circle Marzipan Cake looks like- this is a beautifully delicious example. Heidi and Eric’s wedding cake? Was a birch tree with a bird nest as the cake topper. Fabulous! 🙂 But that wasn’t all to satisfy your sweet tooth, Heidi and Eric also had passed desserts served in perfect bites, along with a Chicago Style Hot Dog cart at the end of the evening.
You two looked amazing on your wedding day- in other fantastic news, congrats on your new house you guys!!
