Woodwalk Gallery in Door County Wisconsin is probably one of my favorite wedding venues ever. The owners were so incredibly sweet- and also doubled as officiant/gallery coordinator. Carrie is originally from Iowa, and Ted is from New England- they both wanted to have their wedding in a place which is special to both of them. Conveniently, they both used to vacation in Door County’s Egg Harbor when they were kids. Boom- perfect wedding location set – Woodwalk Gallery in Door County!
Carrie made the most ultimate DIY extravaganza- from vintage cans, to wooden signs all matching the checkered cherry pie red they wanted for their wedding. It was some of the most amazing DIY wedding details ever, paired with babies breath balls and a custom pie topper. Carrie and Ted actually drove all of their decor to Door County from Brooklyn, which is a pretty amazing roadtrip on it’s own.
Okay, I’ve babbled on for too long- check it out for yourself!
We had an amazing time photographing Alicia and lukasz’ Elmhurst Wilder Mansion Wedding. This shot Ela captured of Alicia’s Dad walking her down the aisle in the woods just as the sun parted made me want to post a bit of dramatic Black and Whites that I’m a big fan of.
Everything from the ceremony space to the florals, dress and emotion from Alicia and Lukasz’ day was awe inspiring. Take a sneak peek below.

Amanda and Tom are the most amazing smiley people that we’ve ever shot. Seriously, every picture looks like absolute joy at their Promontory Point wedding. I mean, you remember their engagement session at Indiana Dunes State Park with the dune jumping? Indeed.
Amanda and Tom got ready in West Town, to make sure to have the chance to have a few shots where they originally met- at The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, before the wedding. With their ceremony and reception at the lovely Promontory Point on Chicago’s South Side, they simply moved the ceremony indoors and opened up the hall’s French doors, while enjoying cocktail hour outside.
It was the most perfect weather for a lakeside wedding! The sky was so clear, you could see the cityscape along the shore, which allowed for the perfect bike-ride on their new tandem bike. The perfect dress for the perfect bike!
Mary Beth and Sam’s Chicago Maxim’s Lincoln Park wedding was an absolute blast. We love outdoor park weddings in Chicago. I mean, look at the amazing greenery?! And with Mary Beth’s vintage wedding dress paired with flowers from Asrai Garden, it’s a guaranteed day of non-stop lovely. And Sam’s suit was quite amazing as well. This wedding had some of my most favorite dance shots of all time. Maxim’s made it quite easy though, it’s such an intimate reception space, and was perfect for their theme. Congrats with everything in Colorado you two! Champaigne Grapes in the bouquet? Yes!
Arizona has the most amazing sunshine. With that, rocks, succulents, and sunshine are like my photography playground. Especially when paired with Brittany’s AMAZING vintage alpaca wool poncho find in Phoenix. We had a blast with Tim and Brittany’s Arizona engagement photography session!
We started the afternoon off by the train tracks, near a delightfully blue and yellow warehouse and a winky face used car lot. I don’t know about you, but there was something amusing about a wink logo associated with… well.. a used car lot. 😉
Tim and Brittany met when Tim was traveling back to Arizona for to teach, study and have an artist reception. In case you didn’t know, he’s an amazing painter- check out his stuff! AND! Brittany is a fine art model, which pairs them quite perfectly.
