We had an amazing time photographing Alicia and lukasz’ Elmhurst Wilder Mansion Wedding. This shot Ela captured of Alicia’s Dad walking her down the aisle in the woods just as the sun parted made me want to post a bit of dramatic Black and Whites that I’m a big fan of.
Everything from the ceremony space to the florals, dress and emotion from Alicia and Lukasz’ day was awe inspiring. Take a sneak peek below.

A couple of weddings back, I had a bridesmaid ask where our most off-the-beaten-path destination wedding was. At that moment it dawned on me, we haven’t blogged about Nicole and Joel’s amazing Nicaraguan Wedding yet! So this week is set to be dedicated to Nicole and Joel, along with a bit from our adventures in Central America.
And now, for bits of the photography we did around Central America, I introduce a bit of the love that is Nicole and Joel.
Amanda and Tom are the most amazing smiley people that we’ve ever shot. Seriously, every picture looks like absolute joy at their Promontory Point wedding. I mean, you remember their engagement session at Indiana Dunes State Park with the dune jumping? Indeed.
Amanda and Tom got ready in West Town, to make sure to have the chance to have a few shots where they originally met- at The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, before the wedding. With their ceremony and reception at the lovely Promontory Point on Chicago’s South Side, they simply moved the ceremony indoors and opened up the hall’s French doors, while enjoying cocktail hour outside.
It was the most perfect weather for a lakeside wedding! The sky was so clear, you could see the cityscape along the shore, which allowed for the perfect bike-ride on their new tandem bike. The perfect dress for the perfect bike!
Mary Beth and Sam’s Chicago Maxim’s Lincoln Park wedding was an absolute blast. We love outdoor park weddings in Chicago. I mean, look at the amazing greenery?! And with Mary Beth’s vintage wedding dress paired with flowers from Asrai Garden, it’s a guaranteed day of non-stop lovely. And Sam’s suit was quite amazing as well. This wedding had some of my most favorite dance shots of all time. Maxim’s made it quite easy though, it’s such an intimate reception space, and was perfect for their theme. Congrats with everything in Colorado you two! Champaigne Grapes in the bouquet? Yes!
Alicia and Lukas decided to bear the cold for their downtown Chicago engagement photography engagement session. Just before Christmas (a perfect opportunity to share their photos with family).
Lukas, being Polish and all, is a man after my own heart. And he picked one of the nicest people ever to be his future wife. Not to mention, Alicia- you can make white nylons look sexy- love it! Alicia and Lukas were amazing in the winter weather, and we cannot wait for their wedding at Elmhurst Mansion this summer!
