Ahh, Cantigny Park- you’re so picturesque I want to paint you! (Or at least have a gazillion more engagement sessions here)
Angela and Eric are getting married tomorrow! So naturally, I have to show these two lovelies off for their Cantigny Park engagement photography session. I am so excited that Angela chose Cantigny Park for the first half of her engagement session. It’s located in Wheaton, IL which is close to both of their respective hometowns in the Chicago Suburbs. And the pops of florals along with Angela’s dresses are perfect. Angela wanted to have a taste of home along with a nod to Chicago itself for added variety and awesomeness.
Angela and Eric are getting married tomorrow at The Royal Melborne Country Club in Long Grove. Ahh Mature luscious trees are the best! Now, onto their Cantigny Park Engagement session. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
A nod to Chicago and a Cantigny Park engagement session, it doesn’t get better than that!
Out of all of our Chicago wedding photography this year, Heidi and Eric’s was one of our favorites. Heidi planned all of the details out to a perfect T. It was amazing! From the peonies to match the ones that grew on the side of her parent’s house growing up, to the antique reprints of herbs and spices for the table number center pieces to the vintage blue mason jars perfectly matching her shoes, the twine on the wedding invitations and also the bridesmaids dresses.
Heidi and Eric had their wedding at Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville. It was a beautiful spring day in Chicago land and the weather was perfect for the ceremony at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church in Indian Creek- Heidi made the ceremony exit extra special by making ribbon wands to send to couple off to the reception in their white vintage Rolls Royce. Oh, and you have to see their Danish Marzipan Ring Cake! Complete with little danish flags. A huge thanks goes out to Carolynn at Shannon Gail Events, all of the amazing details would not have been possible without your collective creativity and organization. 🙂 Along with their amazing videographer JJ at Orange Wedding Films. He’s awesome and fantastic to work with.
The day started off at the Westin North Shore…
In case you ever wondered what a Danish Circle Marzipan Cake looks like- this is a beautifully delicious example. Heidi and Eric’s wedding cake? Was a birch tree with a bird nest as the cake topper. Fabulous! 🙂 But that wasn’t all to satisfy your sweet tooth, Heidi and Eric also had passed desserts served in perfect bites, along with a Chicago Style Hot Dog cart at the end of the evening.
You two looked amazing on your wedding day- in other fantastic news, congrats on your new house you guys!!

On this lovely and crisp day in late November, we had the pleasure and opportunity to meet with Eddie and Meredith! They were super great and friendly. We met them at the Chicago Cultural Center for a few happy snaps and then proceeded onto Millenium Park. The Hawthorn trees by the Art Institute are one of my favorite sites in that area. And our stroll/ engagement session goes on over to the Buckingham Fountain- which is where Eddie proposed to Meredith on a super chilly new years night. It was so cold in fact, that Meredith almost didn’t want to go out that night! Now where would we all be now if she didn’t? Well- I’m super glad she did. 🙂 Especially since Eddie is a big fan of public transit- which makes us a big fan of Eddie.
Meredith is currently a High School Math teacher in Aurora, keeping a busy schedule with bunches of extra curricular activities. Eddie is in Law School in Madison- phew, long distance- and these two make it work in style! Speaking of school, these two lovely love birds actually met in College! Yay for sharing college stories together. And on their story of the hunt for a reception venue- they chose the beautiful Cantigny Gardens in Wheaton, IL. And the countdown begins! Their wedding date festivities are set for September 4, 2011!
